2026 National Boy/Girl 1 Champions

45 champions have won their first ever national titles in a very special night of boxing at the National Stadium: The 2026 Boy/Girl 1 Championship Finals.

Amhran na bhfiann was sung by the incomparable Johnny Joyce during the traditional Parade ahead of these finals. You can watch his stunning performance here

Congratulations to all finalists, their clubs and families.

Boxing Ireland President, Anto Donnelly, says “This is a vital competition in a young boxer’s life. For some, it’s their first gold medal. For others, it sets them on the path to success by giving them the experience of boxing in the hallowed ring of the National Stadium. All boxers in this competition can rightfully be proud”

Anto adds “I’d also like to extend my gratitude to the officials who ensure this competition, and all national level tournaments, can take place. Led by the Championship Committee of National Registrar Stephen Connolly, National Secretary Tara Robins and Anna Moore – and ably supported by Vice President Eugene, all Referees & Judges, glove masters, time keepers and Announcer, Al Morris. Their expertise and contribution are invaluable to our sport, and the development of our boxers”

Boxing Ireland CEO, Gary Stewart says “It’s my first time experiencing the sheer excitement of the Boy/Girl 1 Championships. I’ve been so impressed with quality and gracious attitude of the young boxers, as well as their technical skill. They’re credit to their clubs and families. With boxers like these coming up through our development pathway, the future is bright for Irish boxing.
