Head of Club Support and Participation

The Head of Club Support and Participation will provide national leadership for Boxing Ireland’s club support, participation and development function.

The postholder will be responsible for leading the national club support and participation strategy, managing the regional development structure, overseeing national participation programmes, strengthening volunteer and workforce support, and ensuring clubs are better connected to national systems, programmes and reporting structures.
This is a senior leadership role. The postholder will set direction, manage staff and resources, oversee programme performance, lead national and regional planning, and provide structured reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and, where required, the Board or funders.

The role will work closely with clubs, Provincial Councils, County Boards, Local Sports Partnerships, Sport Ireland, Sport Northern Ireland, community stakeholders and internal Boxing Ireland teams to support a stronger, more consistent and more inclusive club development system.

Regional Club Support and Participation Manager – Leinster & Munster

The Regional Club Support and Participation Managers, based in Leinster and Munster will lead the delivery of Boxing Ireland’s club support, participation and development priorities within an assigned ROI region.

The postholder will be responsible for managing a regional development plan, supporting affiliated clubs, strengthening volunteer capacity, building local partnerships, coordinating participation programmes, supporting funding opportunities, and ensuring regional activity is aligned to Boxing Ireland’s national development strategy.

This is a regional management role, not simply a programme delivery role. The core purpose is to build regional and club capacity so that clubs are better supported, more sustainable, more inclusive, and better connected into national systems, programmes and reporting structures.

The postholder will manage regional development activity, monitor progress against agreed objectives, identify risks and opportunities, and provide structured reporting to the Head of Club Support and Participation.

The role will act as a key link between Boxing Ireland, Provincial Councils, County Boards, clubs, Local Sports Partnerships and local community stakeholders.

High Performance Administrator

The High Performance Administrator will provide high-quality administrative, logistical and operational support to Boxing Ireland’s High Performance Programme.

The postholder will play a key role in coordinating the administration of national squads, training camps, domestic and international competitions and other High Performance Programme activities.

The role will support the efficient organisation of travel, accommodation, competition entries, athlete documentation, medical arrangements, records, operational resources and day-to-day communications.

The postholder will work closely with the National Performance Programme Coordinator, National Performance Director, coaches, athletes, team managers and support-service providers to ensure that operational requirements are planned, communicated and delivered effectively.

Communications & Marketing Executive

The Commercial & Marketing Executive will provide hands-on support for Boxing Ireland’s commercial, marketing and digital activity. Working closely with the Communications & Public Affairs Manager and relevant colleagues, the postholder will support sponsorship activation, retail operations, digital content, live event coverage, fundraising initiatives and live-stream production.

This is a varied role suited to an energetic and creative professional who can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced sporting environment. The role offers broad experience across sports marketing, commercial partnerships, event delivery, media production and fan engagement

Stadium Shop Assistant (Casual)

We’re looking for friendly, reliable Sales Assistants to support our National Stadium shop operations during live events.

CE Scheme

Boxing Ireland, in partnership with the Dept. of Social Projection, is a Community Employment Scheme sponsor and has been providing employment and opportunities through the scheme for almost two decades. The Community Employment (CE) programme is designed to help people who are long-term unemployed (or otherwise disadvantaged) to get back to work by offering part-time and temporary placements in jobs based within local communities.

There are several CE Scheme vacancies in the National Stadium which may be of interest to club members, assisting with the set-up of boxing & other events, including turnaround of venues, car park maintenance.

Eligibility | Unemployed, in receipt of an eligible Social Welfare Payment & interested in working 19.5 hours per week

Training | Receive quality training with recognised qualifications, while keeping Social Welfare payments & receiving at least an extra €32.50

Rates | Community Employment placements pay at least €286.50, regardless of current applicable Social Welfare rate. Participants will always receive more than their current Social Welfare payment
