Grants and other forms of funding are an important resource for all clubs. This is not an exhaustive collection of grants and funding options, and clubs are advised to monitor funding options available in their local area.
Local Sports Partnerships
Local Sports Partnerships, of which there are 29, offer Small Equipment Grants, annually. THere are some local variations in the scheme criteria, but in general, funding through this programme is available for equipment, leader training, programme and operational costs. Sports Capital and Sports Capital Equipment grants
Sports Capital and Sports Capital Equipment grants – These programme aims to foster an integrated and planned approach to developing sports and physical recreation facilities. Grants are offered periodically, and information is available here. Boxing Ireland has created a series of tutorials for clubs considering Sports Capital applications, and they can be viewed here
Erasmus+
Erasmus+ is an EU programme for education, training, youth and sportactions in the field of sport. It is designed to promote participation in sport, physical activity, and voluntary activities. They are designed to tackle societal and sport-related challenges. More here.
The Ireland Fund
The Ireland Fund. The objective of this grant is to enable as many organisations as possible to fund new and innovative
responses to social need. Overall, The Ireland Fund invests in local communities by supporting initiatives that contribute to: Positive mental and physical health, Community integration, Social entrepreneurship, Opportunities for lifelong learning, Economic development, Sport and leisure opportunities, Protection of the natural environment.
