Monday 2nd | Coaching
Boxing Ireland will open registration to an online Coaching Teenage Girls workshop. The training covers, but is not limited to, understanding the mental and physical, emotional, and social needs of adolescent girls, addressing drop-off rates, and improving the coach-athlete relationship
Tuesday 3rd | Leadership
In February, a group of almost 30 women from across boxing graduated with a Professional Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management as part of Boxing Ireland’s LEAP Programme. On Tuesday, as part of the Leadership theme, we’ll hear from the three recipients of the President’s Award, who will share what leadership, and the course, means to them
Wednesday 4th | Community Activation
Boxing Ireland is taking part in Fingal Sports Partnership’s Exercise to Energise sport taster session, introducing as many people as possible to our sport.
Friday 6th | Participation and Schools
Boxing Ireland will platform the StartBox programme, which operates in schools and communities in Dublin, Belfast, and Sligo.
Saturday 7th | Parkrun
All those celebrating Women in Sport Week 2026 are invited to take part in a 5km ParkRun taking place in scores of locations on the island of Ireland. More here
Sunday 8th | International Women’s Day
Boxing Ireland is hosting a keynote event in Belfast, celebrating women’s contributions to our sport. It will include top-class boxing by women and girls, and a panel discussion of women athletes and leaders. Register here
And a very special event will be announced by the Chair of the Boxing Ireland Women’s Commission in celebration of International Women’s Day!
