Boxing4All Boxing

Boxing Ireland recognizes and is enriched by the unique identity, life experiences, abilities, learning styles, knowledge and contribution of every individual within the existing boxing community and seeks to support the growth of our community to be even more inclusive of people from a diverse range of backgrounds at all levels of our sport including participating, coaching, officiating, volunteering, spectating and administering

Boxing Ireland provides a range of programmes and learning opportunities to members, clubs, county boards and provincial units.

High Five Boxing Academy

The High Five Programme for children with disabilities and additional needs is aimed at enabling children with disabilities and additional needs to participate in the sport of boxing, become members of their local clubs, and of the wider boxing community. The High Five Programme focuses on fun, participation and skill building at the boxers’ pace, in accordance with their needs, abilities and goals

High Five was founded by four Dublin boxing clubs: Drimnagh, Crumlin, St. Catherine’s, and Palmerstown, in October 2021, and launched across the Association in 2022. Clubs interested in joining High Five or learning more are invited to review the programme criteria, which is available here

Up-Skilling

Boxing Ireland offers learning and training opportunities in partnership with Active Disability Ireland, the Irish Wheelchair Association, Vision Sport Ireland and Deaf Sport Ireland, as well as bespoke learning created by IABA in the DEI space. Courses are available to every member of every successfully affiliated boxing club.

Clubs may also find the 360 Degrees Diversity and Toolkit helpful in making their clubhouse even more inclusive. The toolkit is available here
