ICOACHKIDS is a non-profit global movement. It’s mission to help kids get the most out of sport. This online platform gives youth sport coaches the tools to share and learn from one another.

Sport Ireland Coaching are involved in providing supports and additional materials in specific targeted coaching areas such as coaching children, teenagers, women, people with disabilities and physical literacy. These supports and materials have been developed by Sport Ireland Coaching in partnership with other key agencies such as NGBs, Local Sports Partnerships (LSPs), support agencies such as CARA, other Sport Ireland Units, European Erasmus partners and International partners

Athlete Supports

Athlete support resources on the menstrual cycle and the coach-athlete relationship

Understanding the menstrual cycle is key when supporting girls in sport. Menstruation is the main challenge for females during puberty and can have significant effects on physical and mental wellbeing. However, girls can still participate and perform well while on their period, this can be achieved through education and creating a period positive enviornment.

Dr Diane Cooper and Irene Clark discuss on everything menopause related, from symptoms to changes in the body, nutrition and exercise-related guidelines. This webinar was delivered during Women in Sport Week 2023.
