Team Ireland’s Macie Duffy O’Connor has won at least European U17 Championship bronze medal.
She boxed her 48kg quarter final against Jenna Dailly of Scotland, and won all rounds on all cards. Macie boxes to step up the podium in her semi final in Friday’s Evening Session. She’s now a two-time European medalist, having claimed European U15 silver in 2025.
Rylee Finn has won through to the medal stages – He was the RSC2 winner over Rei Collaku of Albania in his 48kg Last 16. Rylee is back in acton, and boxing for a medal, in Thursday’s Evening Session. So, too, has Martin Nevin, following a 4-0 Last 16 win over Levani Tepania of Georgia. Judges scored the bout

Not to be for Team Ireland’s Martin Donovan. He exits the championships at 57kg Last 16 stage, following an RSC2 win for his opponent, Muhammadali Istamov of Azerbaijan. Martin’s European U17 journey included an RSC2 win over Ukraine’s Ukraine’s Danylo Sielieznov, a national title and High Performance training block
Saoirse Donnelly bows-out – She boxed her 54kg Last 16 contest against Italy’s Melissa Cavaliere, and the 4-1 decision went to her opponent, scored 29:28; 27:30; 27:30; 27:30; 28:29. Saoirse’s European journey has included a win over Ema Halajko of Croatia, a national title, and a multi-week High Performance training bloc
Maicey Field has also exited the championships. She boxed her 63kg quarter final against Turkey’s Sudenur Yalgettekin; the 5-0 decision went to the Turkish boxer, and judges scored the bout 30:27; 29:28; 30:27; 29:28; 29:28. Maicey, who is a 2025 European U15 Championship silver medalist, claimed an RSC3 win over Croatia’s Mia Aleksa en route to her U17 quarter final.

Competition Schedule
Boxing begins on October 3rd, and there is no rest day at this tournament. All finals and medal ceremonies will take place on Saturday, October 10th. All Afternoon Sessions begin at 1pm, Irish time, and Evening Sessions start at 5pm.

8 Team Ireland boxers will contest for podium places on Thursday.
Ronan Charles, boxing at 46kg, will take on Andria Piljani of Germany in his Quarter Final in the Bout 3 of Ring A’s Afternoon Session – Two contests later, in Bout 5, 50kg Pat Stokes meets Stepan Demianov of Russia. 60kg Christy Joyce is in action in Bout 9 of the same ring and session, against Eduard Karamyan of Armenia. 75kg Thomas O’Reilly steps between the ropes in Bout 13 of Ring A’s Afternoon Session, boxing his quarter final against Artur Mangold of Germany
48kg Rylee Finn who is preparing for action against Samvel Grigoryan of Armenia in Bout 3 of Ring A’s Evening Session Paddy Nevin, contesting at 70kg, is in action in Bout 14 of the same Ring and Session, taking on Ukraine’s Oleksandr Lutsenko.
Team Co-Captain, 57kg Daisy Kieran will take on Italy’s Morena Stifani in Bout 4 of Ring B’s Evening Session. Four contests later, in Bout 8, 52kg Martin Nevin boxes for a podium place against Nichita Slepoi of Moldova
