An advisory on the Permission to Travel procedure is being shared with all clubs and units.
Permission to Travel is required for any team, squad, or boxer & coach travelling internationally for any kind of boxing event. This permission confers insurance if all members of the travelling party are a) individually registered with the applicable club in Sport80 and b) are named on the permission to travel request.
Any Permission to Travel request submitted which does not follow the protocol as outlined will not be granted.
- Boxer must be entered into the Clubs Portal in Sports 80
- Boxers Name must match the Membership Details
- Membership Number must be listed on the application to Travel
- Coaches travelling with the Team must be qualified and have Garda Vetting / Access NI
- Any Under 18 Female Boxers must have a Female Chaperone travelling with the Team.
- Clubs Must apply DIRECTLY to the County Board.
- County Board must approve and send to the Provincial Council.
- Provincial Council will issue the Permission to the Central Council.
- Clubs are requested to give 3 weeks’ notice when applying for permission to travel.
- Any changes to the Permission must be directed back to the County Board for amendment.

Individual Registration – Sport80
An Individual membership in Sport80 may be created HERE
The name must be the same as the passport/birth cert.
Date of Birth must be the same as the passport/birth cert.
Ensure you have selected the correct club to join.
For Clubs: Clubs will need to accept the Member into the Clubs portal; a notification will be received.
