The two day International between Ireland and Wales has finished Ireland 5, Wales 8.
Internationals such as these are key development opportunties for athletes. To date this year, Boxing Ireland athletes have participated in Internationals against Sweden, Scotland (February & May), Netherlands and France.
In today’s second leg, 54kg Isabel Nolan, 60kg Kerry Brown, 55kg Oisin Kieran, 60kg Christian Doyle and 70kg Chloe Louise Poleon boxed exhibition bouts. Five bouts were boxed, with Ireland winning 2 and putting in superb performances in the remaining bouts. Congratulations to all boxers on this team in their contesting for Ireland, their clubs and families.
