The Team Ireland team to contest the 2026 European U15 Championships has been named.
The 25 strong team include national champions, Four Nations medalists, dual nations medalists and international benchmark medalists. Among them is Pa Casey, the 2025 European U15 champion at 44kg, and Best Male Boxer of that tournament. He’s joined by 2025 European U15 bronze medalist, Rosaletta Casey
The Team’s Co-Captains are Pa Casey and Rosaletta Casey. The Vice Co-Captains are Rian Brannigan and Sophie Potter.
The team is led and and managed by Team Manager Stephen Connolly, Ballymore Hollywood BC, Kildare and Aine McLoughlin, Spartans BC, Cork. The team is coached by Paul Simpson, Saviours Crystal BC, Waterford; John Coffey, Sliabh Luachra BC, Kerry; Tommy O’Donnell, Charleville BC, Cork; Maria O’Brien, Ballymun BC, Dublin. Marty O’Neill has been appointed R&J.
The tournament takes place in Trabzon, Türkiye, from October 16th to 27th.
Competition Schedule
The draw will take place at approximately 2:30pm on October 16th.
Boxing will take place at the Beşirli Sports Venue, begining on October 17th – there is no rest day at these championships. All finals and medal ceremonies will take on Monday, October 26th.
Afternoon Sessions will begin at 12pm, Irish time, while Evening Sessions start at 4pm.
