The opening night of boxing in the Ireland Futures Cup competition has taken place tonight at the National Stadium.
This competition is taking place in consideration of selection for the World Boxing Futures Cup, taking place in Bangkok, Thailand from March 8th to 15th next.
Invitations to compete in the Ireland Futures Cup were issued to the then club of any applicable boxer who boxed at semi-final or finals stage of the 2025 National Junior 1 Championship and/or the 2025 National U17 Championships. The competition includes all boxers who accepted this invitation.
3 bouts were boxed this evening, and the competition resumes from 6.30pm on Friday evening. All 10 finals will be boxed from 11am on Saturday morning.
