Team Ireland’s Josh Olaniyan has exited World Boxing Cup China. He contested his Last 16 contest against Korea’s Kim Minseong, which concluded after Round 2. Josh was retired by Team Ireland.
Taking place in Guiyang City from June 15th to 20th, this is the second stage in the 2026 World Boxing Cup series. The series is a benchmark competition run across three tournaments, designed for Elite male and female boxers to accrue ranking points. Champions are awarded 150 points, silver medalists 100 and there are 75 ranking points for bronze medalists. In all, 330 boxers from 44 federations are competing at Stage 2.

There’s just one session in Guiyang City on Thursday, beginning at 5am, Irish time.
51kg Daina Moorehouse takes on reigning Olympic champion, home boxer Wu Yu at around 5:45am. That’s in Bout 4 of Ring B’s Morning Session.
Three bouts later, Daina’s fellow Paris Olympian Dean Clancy is in action against 2026 World Boxing Cup Brazil bronze medalist and a 2025 World (IBA) bronze medalist, Alexandru Paraschiv of Moldova.
Both bouts are Last 16 contests.
